Trump Melts Down, Calls For EXECUTIONS...

Trump woke up this morning and decided to call for the death of Democratic lawmakers because they reminded the military of something every service member already knows. You don’t swear an oath to a king. You swear an oath to the Constitution. And if a president gives you an illegal order, you refuse it. That is literally the law. That is baked into the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is not controversial. It is not radical. It is standard military training.

The only people who panic at the idea of troops refusing unlawful orders are the ones planning to give unlawful orders. That is why Trump melted down the way he did. He sees a video from actual veterans saying the military must obey the Constitution, and his instinct is to scream treason and start boosting comments calling for hanging them. He did not misread it. This is what he wants. He wants a military that serves him personally, not the country.

Let’s get the law straight because Trump sure will not. Article 90 of the UCMJ says you obey lawful orders. Article 92 says you can be punished for disobeying lawful orders. The word lawful matters. The Manual for Courts-Martial even says that following an illegal order is not a defense if you should have known it was illegal. This is not speculation. This is not interpretation. This is the rule book every single service member is held to. When Trump pretends otherwise, he is lying to create confusion.

And here’s the thing he does not want anyone to remember. He already showed us who he is. He floated shooting protesters in the leg. He talked about sending the military into American cities to “go to war.” He suggested putting troops at polling stations even though that is clearly illegal. He stood in front of the Navy and called Democrats “gnats that need to be taken care of.” Every time he is around a uniform, he acts like he is auditioning to be a dictator.

So when veterans get together and tell soldiers to remember their oath, Trump reacts like they exposed his plan. Because they did. That is why we got dozens of posts from him ranting about treason and punishment and firing squads. He is not subtle. He is not strategic. He is telling on himself in real time. Everything he is accusing them of is what he wants to do.

He also keeps saying he wants to follow the law while demanding that the FCC pull Jimmy Kimmel off the air. He wants credit for being a law and order guy right after reposting someone saying “Hang them. George Washington would.” He does not even hear how incriminating that sounds anymore. It is like the mask has been off so long he forgot he used to pretend.

The truth is simple. The oath is to the Constitution. Not Trump. Not any president. The Constitution. Trump already said he wanted to terminate it. He already tried to overturn the election before it even happened. And now he is furious that anyone would dare warn the military that they do not have to follow his illegal orders.

He is reacting this way because he knows that if service members remember their duty, he cannot get away with what he is trying to set up.
