The only thing I can think of that might save this situation is that a federal judge somewhere issues a preliminary injunction against the 11th Airborne soldiers being used to augment 3000 ice agents that are already there because Trump's so-called emergency that is the basis for their employment is a fraud!
The possibility of active-duty American soldiers having to face National Guard soldiers on the streets of an America city makes my blood run cold! I don't think anybody can predict what will happen! I can only hope that the Commanders of both units will show restraint, but I am unaware of any historic confrontation like this other than the American Civil War.
