Here’s the deal. Iran has lots of support right now. A bully is threatening them and killing their children. The more threats, including nuclear threats will be perceived as a bully going after the little guy. Also, the more pressure to open the straights, the less support the bully will have. The longer this goes on, the more polarizing it will become. There are several countries with nuclear arms who will become more inclined to “help out” Iran. It’s already happening. Even Russia, the bully’s bestie, is helping Iran. How long do you think it will be before the friends of Iran give them the components to build a nuke, or even give them a nuke. Israel has nukes, we assume. How did that happen? Same difference.
