JD Vance Slipped Up Badly

This is who he really is.

I want to show you the moment that Vice President JD Vance accidentally slipped up and showed us exactly who he is.

He was asked if he is going to apologize to the family of Alex Pretti for the comments that were spewed by him and his administration in the hours following the execution of Pretti in the streets of Minneapolis.

Remember that Stephen Miller tweeted out quite literally an hour after Alex Pretti was murdered calling him an “assassin.” And JD Vance decided to boost that post before the investigation was even launched. So yes blame does fall on both JD Vance and Donald Trump for spewing this apocalyptic rhetoric when we only had one grainy angle of the shooting.

But when a reporter asked him if he plans to apologize JD Vance doubled down.

He said he won’t apologize because Pretti is “a guy who showed up with ill intent to an ICE protest.”

We have no evidence of this whatsoever. We have no evidence of his intent. If you are going to say anybody who is carrying a weapon has ill intents then you are going to piss off a lot of Americans who actually care about the Second Amendment. JD Vance had the opportunity to be a normal human being. He could have shown some empathy for the family of a man who was murdered. Instead he doubled down on being a ghoul.

This brings me to a clip of JD Vance talking to Megyn Kelly about an event that happened yesterday in the Oval Office.

Kaitlan Collins was essentially berated in a sexist manner by Donald Trump. He asked her “Why don’t you smile more?” while she was asking him about survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. It is quite literally one of the oldest sexist tropes in the book. The old creepy guy in the office telling the young woman to smile a bit more.

But here is the context that makes it sickening. Collins was asking Trump what he would say to the survivors who feel they haven’t gotten justice. And Trump responds by calling her the “worst reporter” and complaining that he has never seen her smile.

She is not smiling because she is asking you about sexual assault survivors. She is pointing out that basically most people in your administration are mentioned somewhere in the Epstein files. Even JD Vance’s mentor Peter Thiel was mentioned in the files.

So how does JD Vance respond to this? Does he defend the freedom of the press? Does he show some class? No. He goes on Megyn Kelly’s show and laughs about it.

Vance called Trump’s comment “perceptive” and asked why reporters have to be “so antagonistic.” He even said reporters should “show the viewers that you have a heart” and “have some fun.”

It is not about having fun. The idea that journalists owe a smile to Donald Trump is absurd. This is a man who has sued them and berated them and called them fake news for ten years. One man is wielding his power in a relentless way to shut the media up. And then he asks “Why aren’t you smiling at me?”

JD Vance then had the audacity to call Washington “transactional” and claim that “people try to pretend that it’s not.” Is he talking about his own president?

JD Vance is a shape shifter who is the exact type of transactional politician he is trying to call out. Ten years ago he was nice to the liberal media when he was doing his press tour for Hillbilly Elegy. Now he has flipped. He is the least relatable person to enter American politics in decades yet he has the nerve to tell Kaitlan Collins to be more “human.”

I am going to leave it there. JD Vance just showed us he will smile and play defense for Donald Trump’s most disgusting moments until the end of days.
