Blue States TORCH Trump’s Plan. KEEP IT UP.
We pay the bills. We take the hits. Now we fight back.
By Adam Mockler
There’s a new energy coming from blue states right now and it feels long overdue.
For decades, we’ve been told to play nice while funding everything from disaster relief in Florida to roads in Arkansas to subsidies in Mississippi. At the same time, Republican politicians attack us for the very programs their states depend on. They bash public healthcare, mock social services, and reject infrastructure funding, yet they are first in line when it’s time to collect.
We’ve been patient. We’ve kept the country afloat. We’ve carried the weight.
Now we are done.
If you vote against FEMA and then a hurricane hits, you should not get bailed out with money from the very people you insulted. If your state economy runs on federal funds but you keep sending extremists to Washington to gut the programs that keep you alive, you should feel that pain. Elections are supposed to have consequences and so far, the only people paying the price are the ones doing the work.
Governor Gavin Newsom understands this and he is saying it clearly.
When Dan Crenshaw mocked Newsom for trying to take back control of California’s National Guard, Newsom replied with facts. He reminded Crenshaw that his state's murder rate is almost 30 percent higher than California’s.
When Rep. Jason Smith tried to lecture Newsom about crime in LA and San Francisco, Newsom pointed out that Smith’s state's homicide rate is 117 percent higher than California’s.
When the New York Times asked if Californians really fund Trump’s America, Newsom responded in three words. Yes, we do.
This is what accountability sounds like.
Red states vote to slash healthcare, block housing funds, and tear down education. Then they rely on blue states to cover the cost when those policies fail. It’s not just wrong. It is unsustainable.
If your state takes more from the federal government than it gives and then votes to destroy that same government, you should not be treated like an equal partner. You should be treated like what you are—a dependent.
This is not about revenge. It is about fairness. It is about connecting the votes people cast to the outcomes they experience. If you vote to tear something down and then cry when the pieces hit you, that is your responsibility.
For too long, Democrats have turned the other cheek and held the country together while Republicans lied about elections, sabotaged democracy, and attacked the institutions we built. That ends now.
Blue states are standing up and fighting back. We are leading with clarity. We are backing it up with numbers. We are done pretending that we owe silence to people who treat us like enemies while cashing the checks we write.
This is the new posture. No more lectures. No more charity for bad faith.
We carry the country and it is time to start acting like it.

California is my state and I’m so glad my governor, who I voted for multiple times, is standing up to this nonsense. I’m ready for CalExit ✌🏼
I live in Colorado and proudly stand behind our AG and Governor who stand up against this corrupt administration/regime!
