Trump’s War on the Supreme Court Has Begun
After appointing three justices, the President is now calling them a "disgrace" for upholding the Constitution.
Donald Trump is officially at war with the Supreme Court. It is a stunning turn of events, especially when you consider that he handpicked three of the justices currently sitting on that bench. But because they had the audacity to rule against his unconstitutional tariff schemes, he’s now using the same kind of dangerous rhetoric we saw leading up to January 6th.
The Court recently struck down his widespread tariffs, essentially reminding the executive branch that the power to tax the American people actually belongs to Congress. Justice Gorsuch wrote a very clear summary explaining that while bypassing the legislative process is tempting for a “strongman” type, the whole point of our system is to prevent one single person or faction from steering the entire country.
Trump’s response was exactly what you’d expect. He didn’t offer a legal counterargument. Instead, he went on a tear about how he’s “allowed” to destroy the country through embargos or trade wars, but he’s somehow being treated unfairly because he can’t charge a “little fee” on imports. It is a mask off moment. He is openly admitting that he views his power as absolute and sees any check or balance as an act of betrayal.
He even took it a step further by attacking the Democratic appointees on the court, calling them a disgrace and claiming they are an “automatic no” on everything that makes America great. This is the definition of institutional rot. When a leader tells his followers that the highest court in the land is illegitimate simply because they followed the Constitution, he is laying the groundwork for total chaos.
What’s even more concerning is that he isn’t stopping. He is already looking for loopholes, trying to invoke Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 to push through a 10% global tariff. This is a guy who is obsessed with power and completely indifferent to the economic damage his “wars” might cause for everyday families.
We are seeing a former president, and current candidate, tell us to his face that he believes he is above the law. He’s mocking the justices, calling them “barely invited” to the State of the Union, and acting like a petulant child because he didn’t get his way. This isn’t just about trade policy anymore. It’s about whether we want a president or a king.
If you think this kind of rhetoric is dangerous for our democracy, make sure you share this post and stay tuned. We have to keep calling this out.
Would you like me to draft a follow-up post focusing on the specific legal authorities Trump is trying to use to bypass this ruling?

Good. Let them eat each other alive.
The Epstein disease is clearly affecting his mental capacity. Or it could be the dementia. Either way, i will not support a cruel, inhuman pig dictator. No kings day!
