Trump's Regime Just Bought TikTok...

The MAGA billionaire takeover of the media needs to be addressed ASAP.

TikTok is reportedly being throttled in such a way where any liberal messaging about Epstein, about Trump, or about ICE gets zero views whatsoever.

Over the weekend a lot of my Democratic influencer friends who have built large followings on TikTok were messaging me. They were asking why all of their videos were getting zero views. Not just a few hundred views. Genuinely zero views.

It is as if some powerful figure is intentionally stifling and spiking any liberal leaning content.

Then we realized what was happening. This is all part of Larry Ellison and David Ellison’s media takeover.

Donald Trump is on the left and Larry Ellison is on the far right. Quite literally. Larry Ellison is an 81 year old who is worth over $200 billion and he is reshaping the way media works in a very nefarious and evil manner.

The “Epstein” Ban

Brian Krassenstein gave us a test to prove it.

After Trump’s allies took over TikTok this weekend any mention of “Epstein” in the DMs is not permitted.

Krassenstein showed that he could type hearts and send “hello” and it worked fine. But when he typed the word “Epstein” he got a warning.

It said: “This message may be in violation of our community guidelines and has not been sent to protect our community.”

To protect the community? Or to protect Donald Trump?

The Zero View Glitch

A California state senator reported that his content was being throttled entirely.

Senator Scott Wiener said: “TikTok is now state controlled media. This morning I posted a TikTok about my legislation allowing people to sue ICE agents and it is sitting at zero views.”

It wasn’t just bad content. It had zero views.

Steve Vladeck posted on Bluesky that he recorded a video about why the Department of Homeland Security’s arguments for entering homes without warrants are bunk. Nine hours later TikTok still said his video was “under review.”

I got a text message from a friend earlier saying they literally cannot post anything today. Everything they posted has zero views and they can’t even see each other’s new videos.

We need to zoom out because this is bigger than TikTok

Bernie Sanders summarizes it well. Thanks to Trump right wing multi billionaire Larry Ellison will now control the TikTok algorithm along with CBS, MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Paramount Plus, and more.

They are even making a move to get CNN and HBO Max.

This is quite literally what oligarchy looks like. When democracy is thrown under the rug so a large donor for a president can consolidate all of the media under their thumb that is no longer democracy.

The FCC is generally supposed to stop massive mergers like this. But instead the FCC is being led by Brendan Carr who is basically Trump’s little goon.

Dangerous Data Collection

It gets worse. The terms of service and privacy info on TikTok now say they want to collect “citizenship and immigration status.”

It says the information you provide may include sensitive personal information such as sexual life, sexual orientation, and citizenship.

Where do you think this information is being reported to? Where do you think it is going?

Governor Gavin Newsom responded and said it is time to investigate. He is launching a review into whether TikTok is violating state law by censoring Trump critical content.

Thank God. Newsom is one of the only people who actually takes action and fights back.

TikTok uninstalls are now up 150% following Larry Ellison taking over the platform.

Listen. I know no platform is perfect. But at least on Meta we are still able to pull hundreds of thousands of views exposing the most vile figures. I had a reel the other day get 300,000 likes just exposing Stephen Miller.

We have to be able to punch back.

A billionaire Trump donor now controls the TikTok algorithm and intentionally promotes right wing content to shape narratives.

It is like Sisyphus trying to push the boulder up the hill. But we are starting to win arguments. We are changing minds.
