In a town full of makers who hammered and stitched,
Came Tariff-Man Trump with a switch that he flipped.
He slapped on big taxes—“a beautiful fee!”—
But it landed on folks like you and like me.
The raw bits and bolts that small shops depend on,
Went soaring so high they outpriced the dawn.
Steel turned to gold (but not the good kind),
