Protesters are now being pepper-sprayed. It’s appalling to witness force being used against peaceful demonstrators. This is simply unacceptable. The last two weeks in the US have been incredibly chaotic, from the Venezuela attack and threats to Greenland to ICE attacks. Domestically and internationally, the US is disintegrating. With three more years of Trump ahead, it’s uncertain whether the world can endure this.

I noticed a great mix of older and younger people at the protests. The older experienced protest sit in people helping the younger people learn peaceful protesting art. What a wonderful coalition.

This wasn’t chaos or people looking for a fight. It was neighbors showing up so harm couldn’t happen quietly. Fear only works when people are isolated, and that isolation just didn’t hold. People stayed present. They watched. They stood with one another.

There’s something deeply grounding about that kind of response. No escalation, no spectacle. Just collective visibility. And once everything is out in the open, intimidation loses its power.

This matters beyond Minneapolis. It reminds us that communities aren’t powerless, and that authority weakens when it depends on fear instead of consent.

That’s the part that lingers for me.

You are a wonderful writer and reporter, Adam. I so respect your debate abilities. I get flustered and emotional and don't effectively make my point when attempting a debate - so I much admire your skill set. Please keep up your excellent work.
