Better to use that most appropriate word rather than the word that's easiest to pronounce. If you've only read to and never heard it, that's the logical way to pronounce it.

That’s true, but someone who does a lot of reading doesn’t necessarily know how a word is pronounced. I’ve always been a voracious reader but I don’t want to tell you how long I thought the word “facade” (fuh-sod) was pronounced “fah-cade” for example. Lol.
