The Republicans know that they will get their asses kicked in a free and fair election and they're scrambling to make sure it's neither free nor fair.

The Republicans have a motto. When if we can, lose if we must but always lie and cheat. They added another part and that is; If want to energize our voters make sure you rarely tell the truth, have a scandalous pass such as cheating on your wife, having sex with underage children including boys, take bribes and pretend you are a Christian.

Don’t forget to add: “The 10 commandments must be posted in all schools and public places because we’re a christian nation “!!!

When Jared Moskowitz grilled Bondi, he told that Trump tramp that Trump was mentioned more times in the tin files than God is mentioned in the Bible. She flipped out and acted all outraged with her phony outrage. She needs the shit slapped out of her.

The SAVE act shouldn’t pass the Senate if the democrats don’t vote for it and they better not eliminate the filibuster for this.

The Save act disenfranchizes every woman to stand for herself. No woman who has married, is expected to maintain her maiden name. I am nearing 70yrs old that has had many twists and turns. I married a man who turned out to be physically abusive. We were stationed in Getmany. After his abuse, I called his company commander to my hospital bedside and respectfully requested to get my baby and myself back to America. We divorced shortly after. I also changed my last name bc I no longer wanted to carry an abusers last name according to my states law for name change. I have tried to obtain my birth certificate from the military base hospital I was born in, but bc I no longer carry my maiden name, they could not send my birth certificate. I have voted by mail for the as long as I can remember. Only missed one time. And now trump has designs to control all women and deny us our dignity. AND HE DOESNT HAVE THAT RIGHT!

Women in general, are not ‘with’ Trump & his wrecking crew.

We have too much empathy & common sense vs testosterone-addled brains, so he’s trying to head us off at the pass!

Black women esp don’t vote R. *Sympathies with your situation. 🌿

This is why I'm trying to get a passport for my wife. I told her she didn't have to change her name (we got married as a straight couple) but she didn't want her father's last name anymore. The irony of this is that I, a trans woman who changed her first name but updated her birth certificate (because California lets you do that) would sail right through.

WE WENT THROUGH THIS ALREADY WITH THE DRIVER LICENSE CRAP. A LICENSE SHOULD BE OK TO USE IF IT'S CERTIFIED WITH A STAR. WTF

Even with all of these attempts to influence, if most everything swings double digits, it will be a navy blue wave...So as usual, MAGA will shoot themselves in the foot just as much as they shoot the other side...Such MAGAts!!

In my state I have carried the name that I have held since 1996. I renewed my ID every 6 yrs. My last renewal date was during a time that I had a deadly disease called C-diff. It has left me bedbound. I was unable to go to the DMV personally due to being immune compromised. I can not have antibiotics bc that will trigger C-diff again. C-diff is a deadly allergy to antibiotics. I no longer drive due to being run over in 1990 and irreparably crushed my right foot. My right arm has two torn muscle systems- the biceps and subscapularis requiring a splint. Thank God my state has ID cards especially for those over 65. I am filling those forms out now. But this is not the REALID that voting requires.

Invalidating the vote of women is unconsciousable. Who are THEY who attempt to invalidate the right to vote! Selfish, and ruthless are the first words that pop to my mind, and it MUST STOP!

What can be done to stop this? This seems completely unconstitutional but with the Republicans in charge of everything, if it passed in the house, it is sure to pass in the Senate. It obviously shows just how scared they are of the mid-terms.

I am 60 and I live in Australia. Never changed my maiden name, and no voter I'd required. Just your current address and you have to update your address in your government related services like Medicare etc. A system build on self declaration, same with the tax department. Easy and transparent. From my point of view I think the American system is really flawed.

There should be multiple ways to prove identity. In Canada it can be a passport, but it could also be any other government-issued card. As a second option, you can show two of: a health card, a student ID, a utility bill, or a bank statement. There is even a third option where you can have someone vouch for you. Magas have said that college ID is not acceptable. The only permitted ID'S that are acceptable are REALID card, a birth certificate, a marriage certificate or a passport. Too many sick or elderly have all of these or be able to pay for a passport ( around $160 ) and those require REALID, BIRTH CERTIFICATE, MARRAIGE CERTIFICATE.

THEY TIE OUR HANDS AND SIT BACK AND LAUGH AT THE GAMES THEY PLAY WITH OUR HEARTS,MINDS AND SOULS.

This doesn't allow me to edit- I meant to say- Too many sick or elderly don't have all of these.

Thank you, Adam, for speaking on this. Your outreach to younger voters is significant an not to be underestimated. This is no SAVE act, it is an ENSLAVE act. This bill cannot pass. We will not be disenfranchised. We must fight for our rights, or the republicans will steal them from us. Young, old, women and people of color are in fact the targeted victims this bill attacks. THIS BILL MUST NOT PASS!

Access to the ballot should be expanded, not narrowed.

JavaJunkyMonkey's avatar

Yup, it's all about keeping that power they currently have. That's it. NOTHING ELSE.

My ID and birth certificate doesn't match. I'll fight these fuckers while I can still breathe.

FUCK REPUBLICANS!.

I volunteer for a voting rights organization. You can't imagine how expensive it is to help voters get their documents like birth certificates. In some cases, where there has been a name change, we need to help with certified copies of marriage licenses, divorce decrees, etc. That yokel from WI who says that people ought to be able to get these doesn't ever mention the expense!!

With the tide turning against the orange stain is looking for as many ways as he can to deny the voting privilege.

Debbie Redling's avatar

Absolutely Adam, the Save Act has a lot of extra BS in it as well. At the end it says that states are required to turn over voter rolls!!

They never tell their voters the whole story, and their voters never bother to check!

Carol's avatar

I agree Adam.

Off topic... why isn't there outrage over sending billions to Isreal who's citizens who happily enjoy free Healthcare while Americans go in debt, bankrupt or suffer in pain?

State legislators in Minnesota are making allegations without providing their “proof” in order to get more of what they caused with inviting the MAGA influencer to “investigate” daycare. Do they really want a fraud like Lindell as governor? Are they seriously still supporting the President? These are questions I have for my legislature.
