Sunday Message From Adam Mockler
This is huge...
Look, I’m sure you saw me tear up Scott Jennings to the point where he had a temper tantrum on live TV, but I think this is even more important.
I just made my debut appearance on MSNOW. First off, I want to say thank you to the MSNOW staff for making this happen. They did a great job and it wouldn’t be possible without their hard work. As always, I made sure to focus on the issues you and your family actually care about.
The Iran war is wrecking my generation, and I’m the only person I’ve seen actually calling it for how it is with moral clarity on mainstream platforms.
Before we get into the important stuff, I thought this moment was pretty funny:
Ruhle: Adam Mockler, making his debut visit to the 11th hour. And I warn you, before you begin, keep those hands on the table.
If you missed my moment with Scott Jennings on CNN, watch it for free with no ads here:
Now, the Iran war is devouring the wallets of Americans young and old. I had to fill up my car to get to the airport this week and almost couldn’t believe my eyes. I know how disastrous this is for the millions of Americans who have a long commute to work, or have kids they need to get to and from school and activities. Gas has inelastic demand, which means you can’t easily cut back on it like a more elastic expense, such as eating out or entertainment.
I’ve been going across the country on cable, in person, and online to fight for the issues that actually impact you, and to ask the questions that the Trump administration fears. There’s a reason why Trump’s chairman of the FCC is spending his day attacking me with ominous threats on Twitter. I won’t back down. My team and I are working 7 days a week to fight for America. If you appreciate my work, please consider becoming a paid subscriber or just share this article. Thank you! - Adam
This particularly impacts young people who are just getting their foot into the economy. We rent, usually still have college loans, and don’t even get me started on the current job market. 20% of men 25-34 still live at home with their parents, and many in that stat are employed. When you see young voter apathy, how can you expect anyone to give a damn about an economy and country when they can’t even get their foot into the door in the first place despite doing everything correctly?
Trump has exploded the cost of various prices. Not Joe Biden, not the Democrats. Virtually every American, unless you’re Trump or his family, has seen the prices explode at the pump or in the grocery store.
There's a stat that Americans have collectively spent $22 billion out of their pocket just on gasoline since this war started. That's money that could have been spent on health care, on child care, on a long list of things to reinvest into our economy. But guess what? We're spending it on gas. So when you combine that with the tariffs, with the ACA subsidies slashing and with the fact that young people can't accumulate capital in the first place, then as young people would say, we're cooked. This war is cooking us right now.
This stat makes me particularly angry. I dropped out of college, although my friends who were in the same year as me are now entering or about to enter a job market in shambles because Trump went rouge on the economy, ANOTHER endless war is looming over the head of every draft eligible young man, and anyone who is already employed is getting their paycheck devoured by living expenses.
I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you this though. If you’re a young adult, you’re feeling it right now, or you likely have kids/grandkids who are.
Call me crazy, but I think you should be able to afford a margarita tower at Chilli’s after working a full week.
So in New York, they did free school lunches for $300 million a year, put that against the $50 billion, which is a conservative estimate for this war. We could have funded this across the country. How about in Connecticut? They have paid family leave. It was $450 million a year. And it is $5 million to start up. Put that against the $50 billion. It is a no brainer. What about one more in New Mexico. It costs $1.5 billion for free college. We could do that 20 times over with the $50 billion that we’ve spent.
When Trump wants a ballroom, a fancy jet, another endless war, an invasion in south America, or anything in the MAGA agenda, there’s suddenly endless money. If a 10 year old wants free lunch at school, suddenly they get a lecture about “fiscal responsibility” and the deficit. ICE agents get fat bonuses, brand new SUVs, and big checks to terrorize your neighbor who works and minds his own business. You get told there’s not enough money for paid family leave and your kids will have to be forever indebted to Sallie Mae if they want a shot in the job market.
I don’t know what to call it, MAGA welfare maybe. If you have any ideas please drop a suggestion in the comments. Truly, I think the majority of Americans feel it or see it but are completely sick of it.

Adam, I am a good bit older than you are but I feel you speak for all generations. People like you give me hope for future generations coming up behind me. It saddens me that more people your age aren't getting engaged but I think your poise and energy is starting to change that 🤞.
Well done, Adam!
You have had quite an important week. Keep up the good work. We appreciate you!
