Hey everyone,

I hope you are all having a great week so far. It has been a wildly intense and eventful July.

Between conflict in Iran resurfacing and a parasitic outbreak spreading across multiple states, the news cycle has been relentless. At Mockler Media, we have been leading the coverage on these critical issues, including exposing how policy rollbacks under the Trump administration directly weakened the federal safety and traceability protocols designed to catch these exact kinds of health outbreaks before they spread.

While covering these breaking stories, we spent the entire month of July focused on one core objective: building Mockler Media into a bigger, stronger, and more resilient newsroom.

I am thrilled to announce that we brought on three new hires this month. Each of these team members was brought on strategically to sharpen our coverage, scale our reach, and push our country toward a better, more democratic future.

The stakes could not be higher. Right now, we are watching anti-democratic forces strip away fundamental rights, launch attacks on independent media, target higher education, and attempt to dismantle our basic institutions. When federal enforcement overreaches and constitutional protections are eroded on our streets, staying quiet is not an option.

We are building a coalition to fight back. Whether it is taking on high-stakes debates on national television, delivering daily breaking news breakdowns on YouTube, or bringing you direct reporting right here on Substack, we are committed to leading the charge against authoritarianism.

We are bringing on new editors, expanding our outreach operations, hiring assistants, and training a new generation of independent media operators. We are helping young talent unlock their full potential so we can hit back harder against disinformation every single day.
