I made headlines for exposing Trump's attack on our free speech.

Let’s be clear: we are the party that has consistently stood against political violence and gun violence of all kinds. I will not be gaslit into rewriting history. Gun violence is wrong, full stop. And no one should lose their job for directly quoting Charlie Kirk.

Conservatives love to rail against “cancel culture,” yet they have fully embraced it and taken it further than anyone imagined. This is not just an outrage mob online. This is the President of the United States using the power of his office to shut down television shows that bruise his ego.

That is exactly what happened to Kimmel. He was not taken off the air for crossing some imaginary line. He was punished for poking fun at Trump. When asked about Kirk by a reporter, Trump deflected into a bizarre rant about his Rose Garden renovations. Kimmel joked about it, and the regime decided that was unacceptable.

The attack on free speech here is obvious. And when I spoke out, conservatives flooded my inbox with hate. Hundreds of comments and emails poured in, all missing the satire, all boiling down to the same thing: when faced with truth and receipts, MAGA falls back on the one tactic it has always relied on, violence.

It got serious enough that my channel manager had to file a police report with the Chicago Police Department after a violent threat was sent to my company.

But let me be clear: you will not intimidate me. We are going to keep telling the truth. We are going to keep standing strong for what is right. And yes, we are going to laugh at the absurdity along the way.
