I just got off the set of CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip, and things got incredibly heated during a debate over the escalating situation with Iran. It’s infuriating to watch the “America First” mask slip in real-time as the neocon boomers surrounding Donald Trump mortgage my generation’s future for yet another endless, trillion-dollar Middle Eastern war. While Republicans like Mike Johnson play word games to avoid condemning blatant anti-Muslim bigotry within their own ranks, they’re simultaneously gaslighting us — claiming we can’t afford healthcare at home while they light billions on fire abroad. From the total lack of strategy to the terrifying apathy toward Russia aiding Iran, this administration is making the world more catastrophic by the hour. We’re being told this is “strategic,” but all I see is a hyper-partisan mess that should have every American terrified.
