I'm with Peaceandlove's stance. With the downgrading of our rank in the world based on how we act, many people living abroad are changing their tune. The deeper this regime takes us into their dark hole, more and more will walk away from us in pure fear. How are they going to distinguish between us? Plus, we're all rather complicit in the length of time we're allowing this to go on. Perhaps our weekend protests aren't enough to show the world that those of us who are sane are getting things under control. Hell, they've given us a year to start turning the ship around. We can't show one solid step that's been taken in a different direction. Quite the opposite with his looming declaration of war. Despite being chief of staff, she's got little to no role in military decisions, nor does she give public speeches excusing and encouraging crimes on behalf of Trump.

There’s a lot to unpack here Adam but I’m going to address one issue. To whom does Nicaraguan oil belong? Fossil fuel and minerals in every country belong to the people of that country, not corrupt governments like in Russia and not energy industry gangsters, it belongs to the people.
Trump isn’t stealing from the president of Nicaragua or the corporate oil companies. Trump is stealing from the Nicaraguan people.
One last point… It looks as though Trump and his mob are going to start some military adventurism to deflect from all the trouble he’s in regarding the Epstein files and his usual lying and treason. George W. Bush was also hot for military adventurism in the Middle East and look how horribly that worked out. This is going to end up worse for Americans and American military participants. Nicaragua has F 16s. There are already Russian advisors in Nicaragua and there’s a good chance that some surface to ground missiles are going to slam into an aircraft carrier or ships. The other thing that nobody is talking about is the fact that Nicaragua has an army of 200,000 soldiers. This is going to boomerang on Trump and if we do a ground invasion, it’s going to end in a guerrilla war much like Vietnam.
The United States will lose allies in south and Central America just like we’re losing allies around the world. And the next moron who says that Trump needs to be impeached, they need to shut their ignorant hole. Trump doesn’t need to be impeached, he needs to be removed along with the rest of his depraved corporate mob.
These are all good points, but it's not just our government which wishes to steal oil from "the people" in foreign lands. USA has a long, dirty reputation for overthrowing every government which didn't follow USA's own example by allowing multinationals to exploit such resources for enormous private profit. Oil revenue is routinely stolen from USA citizens (with a partial exception being in Alaska) by corporations.
