You are a rock star and us boomers love you

Alana's avatar

Indeed. I am so proud of Adam and some of the other Gen Z’s I see on Substack and You Tube. Millennials too. They give me a lot of hope for the future!

Cheryl Boedicker's avatar

I second that, Adam! Keep up your courageous work. Don’t let these Boomers bully you! ( I’m 79!!) They’ve gotten away with their BS for so long, they are shocked when someone, especially someone young, challenges them! Just be alert at all times-be careful!

Mac's avatar

Please stop equating this behavior with boomers. That’s an inaccurate association. They’re the neo-neocons. I’m a younger boomer and I’m tired of people lumping us in with the magat crowd.

Hound's avatar

I’m one of the boomers who really appreciates Adam. I watched him on Pierce Morgan and that jackass Geraldo Rivera there trying to shit talk him. Geraldo’s always been a punk and a phony and a joke. He started attacking Adam for Adam’s style. Adam’s style is telling the truth and calling liars out on their bullshit. They couldn’t debate Adam’s content so they did what liars usually do and that is attack the messenger. Adam quickly put pervert liar phony ass clown Geraldo in his place. As Geraldo was getting his ass handed to him he said they’re grinning like a jackass because he is a jackass. It got even better when Anna Kasperian from the young Turks told Adam not to apologize for his style which really is a polite style he just tells the truth and the people who hate truth freak out. She seemed a little motherly towards him like she was supporting a son she was so proud of.

Geraldo has always been a whore and a punk. Early in his career he bragged about how he fucked the wife of New York congressman Jake Javitz. He’s a pig just like Trump and the rest of these impotent limp dick old rich bastards, aka the Viagra crowd.

Paul Schwartz's avatar

Hey I am 68 and love and respect Adam. He can out argue any of these morons!!!!!!!!!!

Hound's avatar

Certainly Adam has superior intellectual abilities but what makes him so refreshing is that he is genuine. He doesn’t get drawn into the the lies and dishonesty of the corporate criminal types which is a legacy news.

Everybody was all upset about Savannah Guthrie and the kidnapping of her mother. People don’t really give a shit but they pretend they do. Savannah Guthrie gets paid $21 million a year by NBC to do her Fluff bullshit.

The media is a whore But unlike a sex worker who only sells her body, the people in corporate news sell their souls. An example of that is if some pretty blonde white girl goes missing they make a big deal of it but they turn a blind eye to black girls who suffer similar fates.

Corporate news is a depraved whore that will do anything for money and ratings so they deceive in hope that enough lemmings will believe.

Absolutely.

I’m a younger boomer as well, but fully understand how #FuxNews has warped the brain cells of so many. Murdoch never should have been allowed into the USA.

Perhaps we need two Boomer categories? Boomers with Brain Cells & Fux’dBoomers?

Betty Pasternak's avatar

You appear to be showing some grace. Thank you. Time to let Scott go.

Melba's avatar

When has Adam ever not shown grace over many interactions with Scott Jennings? Scott Jennings, Geraldo Rivera, Chris Cuomo and all the rest need people standing up to them and calling them out relentlessly.

Betty Pasternak's avatar

I know that & they will stand up again in the future when needed. I am not a fan of Scott. Lots of time & energy spent on this incident. Point made. Adam is wise beyond his years. I am sorry he was treated like that. He reflected. He vented. Now heal & move on. Prepare for the next debate.

Melba's avatar

Respectfully "moving on" is what has gotten us here. One can do 2 things at once and it is critical we all keep calling out while presenting vision simultaneously. We must.

Betty Pasternak's avatar

You clearly don’t understand. Moving on, calling out & standing up can all happen at the same time. But yeah, we have bigger issues to address besides endless discussions on one podcast after another about whose finger was in whose face & never ending celebration of the humiliation of Scott Jennings. Reliving a negative experience over & over only keeps the embarrassment & hurt feelings alive. We all know Scott (and others). There will be many other opportunities to confront MAGA influencers & stand up for democracy.

Melba's avatar

You obviously must have the luxury of living in a blue state. Anyone who lives in a red state deals with people like Scott Jennings et al every day. We all need to be confronting /calling out 24/7 and seeking reform for aggressive anti-corruption with teeth plus affordability. People who are already vulnerable are already not making it.

Betty Pasternak's avatar

I agree with all you say.

Betty Pasternak's avatar

I live in a blue state but red county. I am retired & follow what is going on regularly, get to see & read plenty of the disgusting, racist & unAmerican comments by the right, the regime, ICE, etc. I appreciate & engage in listening to independent media, protests etc. I fully support and appreciate all who speak out against the illegal actions of this administration, the Supreme Court, the grift, the cruelty & destruction of America. Sounds like we are on the same side. I don’t know what you are trying to get at but I think we are done talking. There is nothing wrong with complimenting someone for sticking to their convictions & standing their ground while acknowledging with an ounce of understanding what makes their adversary tick. Did you read what Adam wrote? Whether it be Scott or some other Trump follower, his observations will serve him well as he engages in pro America debates in the future.

Annie North 🍁🍂's avatar

I understand what you mean, but this is not just coming from the Scott Jennings thing. It happened again last night with some jerk-off that was on the panel. I do understand what you mean though. This is a justifiable point that he is making though.

Betty Pasternak's avatar

True, besides Scott there are other hard core right conservatives & I can’t stand any of them either. I just can’t remember their names. I write CNN all the time about giving them a platform. I guess CNN is trying to present both sides (which for me, means the right & the wrong). They all need to be “stood up to” & they usually are. That is why Abby’s show trends closer to a Jerry Springer than a political debate. I don’t know if it helps the ratings or what. I just hope CNN continues presenting pro- democracy, anti-Trump ideology. I am concerned that the new acquisition will result in censorship & more right wing propaganda.

Seriously? Keep being Adam and do what you do best.

Sharen Gibson's avatar

I am a woman who is definitely old enough to be your grandmother and am equally sick and tired of old people stuck in the past. Cheering for you always!

Cupcake73's avatar

These people who take offense to your youth are envious. First bc you’re young and they aren’t. And they know at your age they didn’t have half your intelligence, education and street cred. You should feel honored that by being informed. Having a spine. And taking them “to school” you hit a big ass nerve.

And I’m old enough to be THEIR mom. So not all older ppl are assholes.

Pi3pointzip's avatar

I am 64 male and have always said I don’t know when I don’t. But, Adam is right. Older men can have a facade of knowing it all. If someone doesn’t say they don’t know - ever - they are BS artists.

Joy Lee's avatar

You always impress me with the insight you have, even at your young age. You are an old soul, Adam, for sure!

I'm almost 71 and I'm still working on myself. It's those that aren't willing to do the hard work of questioning, learning and facing reality that cause the problems.

You have a good understanding of the human… comedy. Your growth as a commentator is obvious and this insightful reading of others will carry you through the journey ahead. Looking forward to just how far you’ll go.

Keith Gliponeo's avatar

This is very very true because people nowadays are not admitting that they have a weakness everyone has a weakness but admitting weakness and flaws is a sign of strength and awareness

Wendy Polland Gauthier's avatar

heir message is based on lies, so they do fast-talking or down-talking, pretending they're

superior, which they so obviously are not. like saying he knows so much more about tarrifs than you do.

Take it to them. The more pressure they receive the more they breakdown.

I'm glad the Boomers are behind you but us oldies but goodies are too. Keep up the good work!😻

Well said. When truth doesn’t matter, self honesty and scrutiny matter even more. Keep going.

I think we need to clarify that the people who have rarely been challenged are WHITE men. Especially rich, or good looking white men are given a pass constantly. That time should have been up a long time ago.
