I Just Fought MAGA's Lies On CNN

Here's exactly what went down.

I just got of Abby Phillips on CNN, and I wanted to give you a recap of what went down.

Mockler: One of the administration’s primary arguments was that these boats were an imminent threat to the United States.

Lambert: They are

Mockler: They were not heading to the United States

Let’s be clear, not only were these boats not an imminent threat to the U.S. - we’ve been hearing that Pete Hegseth may have stuck innocent fishermen who had no involvement in drug trafficking. Calling this a war crime would mean it happened at war, it’s hard to see this as anything other than cold blooded murder.

.This is unacceptable, this is illegal, and Pete Hegseth is a criminal. The United States of America should be setting an example for the world, not acting like the worst of the worst.

As I outlined, the way America usually does this is professional. Coast Guard raids the ships, collects the evidence, and arrests the traffickers. We’re a country of law and order, not whatever Pete Hegseth Wants us to be.

Mockler: It’s honestly humiliating that other countries are treating our president like a child, like a baby. It’s like if I created a peace prize and I gave it to myself. I’m like, I’m just going to keep this medal on all night. Our president is an actual child and other countries are treating him like a child while giving him gifts to placate him for policy. This should scare everybody who cares about the constitution.

Mockler: Do you not see the slippery slope when the president is able to give and receive gifts in a very transactional way? Like, what if there is a Democratic president who’s in power next and he’s not as favorable to a company that you care about?

Mockler: Young people are having trouble accumulating capital in the form of housing or in the form of investing. And due to that, you see a lot of younger people turning against the system. We’re not loyal to a system that hasn’t been loyal to us.
