I also pressed MAGA on the economy because they tried to cherry pick certain statistics to make things look better than they are. I made sure to call that out and to lay out the reality that working people feel every single day.

What this has shown us is simple. Marjorie Taylor Greene celebrated this style of politics for years and now she is stunned to find out that the same forces she encouraged are turning on her. This is not a movement built on loyalty or principle. It is built on fear and punishment. Once you cross Trump even once you are out, no matter how loudly you cheered for him in the past.

You can see that same pattern in the economic conversation too. They tried to pretend the country feels better than it does by throwing out isolated numbers and hoping nobody notices the bigger picture. But people know the truth when they open their bank app or walk into a grocery store.
