Reality Stars Twist Deadly Plane Crash to Fit Their Script
Here's what President Donald Trump and Secretary of Treasury, Sean Duffy have to say about the fatal plane crash Wednesday night.

October 16th, 2024.
It’s a clear day, about 10:30 in the morning when an American Airlines flight with over 100 passengers flies over Texas, heading to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. While preparing to land, the traffic collision avoidance system alerts the pilots that a Cessna (a small two person aircraft) has unexpectedly flown into the path of the plane.
The pilots are caught off guard but air traffic controllers quickly coach the plane on climbing to avoid a collision, managing to put about 400 feet of space between the commercial flight and the incoming Cessna.
The close call comes after a series of incidents at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, including a major near-collision involving a FedEx plane and Southwest Airlines flight in 2023 and after Senator Ted Cruz has repeatedly called for the funding of the 2024 FAA Re-Authorization Act. The bi-partisan bill included 105 billion dollars of funding going towards aviation safety, the use of collision avoidance technology at airports and a special emphasis on the hiring of more air traffic controllers. Sen. Cruz, at the time saying, “One of the things causing this is the shortage in air traffic controllers so [the bipartisan act] will invest in hiring more air traffic controllers”. The bill passed in May of 2024.
On Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 Donald Trump signed an executive order, ENDING ILLEGAL DISCRIMINATION AND RESTORING MERIT-BASED OPPORTUNITY. The order reads the following:
“These illegal DEI and DEIA policies also threaten the safety of American men, women, and children across the Nation by diminishing the importance of individual merit, aptitude, hard work, and determination when selecting people for jobs and services in key sectors of American society, including all levels of government, and the medical, aviation, and law-enforcement communities. Yet in case after tragic case, the American people have witnessed first-hand the disastrous consequences of illegal, pernicious discrimination that has prioritized how people were born instead of what they were capable of doing.”
The order along with a freeze in all domestic and foreign aid led to a pause in all federal hiring processes along with an overall sense of uneasiness and instability amongst government officials.
On Tuesday, January 28th, FAA workers reported receiving an email containing the following:
“If you choose to remain in your current position we thank you for your renewed focus on serving the American people to the best of your abilities and look forward to working together as part of an improved Federal Workforce at this time we cannot give you the full Assurance regarding the certainty of your position or agency but should your position be eliminated you will be treated with dignity and will be afforded the Protections in place for such positions. if you choose not to continue in your current role in the federal Workforce we thank you for your service to this country and you will be provided with a dignified Fair departure from the federal government utilizing a deferred resignation program this program begins effective January 28th and is available to all federal employees until February 6th if you resign under this program you will retain all pay and benefits regardless of your daily workload and will be Exempted from all applicable in person work requirements until September 30th or earlier if you choose to accelerate your resignation for any reason the details of the separation plan can be found below”
On Wednesday, January 29th, the first fatal mid-air collision involving a commercial airplane in over 20 years took place over the Potomac River as an American Airlines flight with 67 passengers collided with a military helicopter on a training mission. That night, the staffing at the Reagan National Airport tower was “not normal” according to MTV’s Road Rules alumni, Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy. Well actually, according to the FAA, Mr. Duffy simply said “I'll take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at their word that it wasn't normal,”. Thanks for the leadership during these trying times Sean!
The air traffic controller that was managing the military helicopter at the time was also handling landings and departures at Reagan National Airport, two jobs normally delegated to two different people. The airport’s namesake, in a lovely dose of dramatic irony, is known for his mass firing of over 10,000 air traffic controllers after they had gone on strike in the 1980s, which took the FAA over 10 years to replace the missing workers. Even today, over 90% of the country's air traffic control towers are understaffed.
Our president provides us the following explanation at a press conference:
“I do want to point out the various articles that appeared prior to my entering office, and here's one. ‘The FAA's diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities.’ That is amazing. And then it says, FAA says, ‘people with severe disabilities are the most underrepresented segment of the workforce and they want them in and they want them.’ They can be air traffic controllers. I don't think so. This was on January 14th, so that was a week before I entered office. They put a big push to put diversity into the FAA's program. Then another article, the Federal Aviation Administration, --. This was before I got to office. Recently. Second term. The FAA is actively recruiting workers who suffer severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's website. Can you imagine?”
Yes, I actually can imagine Mr. President it was actually under your first administration!
First of all, the January 14th article was published in 2024.
So, no, the big scary Joe Biden didn’t dump a bunch of brown, gay, women on you right before you came into office.
Second, the first Trump administration had quite literally the same verbiage on the FAA’s website.
Probably because this push for disability inclusion started under the Bush administration. For people with deafness, blindness, paralysis or missing extremities. Like, I don’t know… the veterans coming back from serving in the air force. No, now the FAA can’t fire disabled veterans because of this comical anti-wokeness coming from this administration.
Not only is Donald lying blatantly, but he’s refusing to admit he’s wrong and baselessly blaming Democrats for his own policy failures. Is anyone surprised?
