My father was able to find the surgeon because of his boss. I have no idea if there was insurance back then, or if my father had to pay it off for years. It was called "lazy eye" back then. My mother's friend noticed it before my parents. I am the last person to make fun of someone with that...especially a child. I can't remember getting up this morning, but I was 2 or 3 and remember being in the hospital. I remember my eye covered with patches. My bruised, black and blue face. I came home, saw my face in the mirror and cried to my older sister. It was very traumatic. I wore glasses for years when I was little and people made fun of me...we all know how cruel kids can be. "Four eyes, etc. I am grateful to my parents.They caught it early and that was like 66 years ago and I was able to be helped. For years I had to check in with the doctor. Eye exercises. Now I'm a senior with astigmatism, floaters the size of flying saucers in each eye and the beginning of cataracts, plus had a laser iridotomy last year for the beginnings of glaucoma where they punch a hole in each eye with a laser to relieve the pressure. There is NOTHING funny about our eyes...one of our most precious gifts. Kash is from a wealthy area and his parents had money, but there is no denying he looks like Charles Manson. It's a fact. None of us know whether he has had surgery, attempted it, or failed. Maybe that's just how he looks. Maybe he's okay with it. Maybe nothing can be done. He's despicable so while I would have empathy or sympathy for anyone else, I wouldn't waste a second of caring about him or his feelings. Sorry...and I have been there.
