Trump and Hegseth and Miller are bloodthirsty psychopaths. These are murders, plain and simple. It’s time for the military itself to oust this filth.

Forgive my ignorance for a minute - this cabinet does whatever the hell it wants 100% of the time. What will freezing part of Hegseth's budget actually achieve?

Trump claims that Biden was unaware of his pardons due to the autopen. Here we have Trump literally admitting he is unaware of his pardon of Hernandez

He doesn’t remember letting 17 members of El Chapo’s family into the U.S. either. Because he is a Senile old fart who belongs under the prison. I can’t wait until he is brought before the court for war crimes. I have my popcorn ready.

I suspect he knows exactly what he is doing with his "I don't know" & "I wasn't aware" crap. Just like he claimed in 2024: "I don't know anything about Project 2025." Then SURPRISE! on Day one: all executive orders are directly from P2025.

Good. Congress needs to start growing a spine.

That is a huge understatement. But perhaps Congress will start to act as it was intended to act. I dearly hope so.

Thanks for this in-depth analysis, Adam.

I’ve been beating the drum on this exact development over on Bluesky the last couple days, because it really does have teeth.

These provisions will absolutely put guardrails on Hegseth and on how the military can operate under him.

One quick add β€” the spending bill also includes several other oversight mechanisms worth flagging:

β€’Restrictions on unilateral changes to targeting authorities

β€’Mandatory reporting to Congress on any fatal strikes

β€’Limits on secret travel and discretionary Pentagon spending

β€’Strengthened requirements for documenting and preserving operational footage

β€’No forming new special ops groups or strike units without Congress

β€’No restructuring the military or rerouting the chain of command.

All of these work together to box in the kind of extrajudicial behavior we’ve already seen hints of.

Give this back to the Coast Guard which has decades of experience doing just this interdiction and putting people into the justice system as per the rule of law. Not this BS where they go murder people who they have no idea what they are doing out there. Some are just fisherman!!!!

Imagine what Trump would be getting away with if he had actual competent loyalists in his cabinet. Frightening thought. His current cabinet are primarily fools and idiots whose arrogance will eventually mean their demise. Hope it’s soon, one by one, convict them. πŸ‘

It's about time. Now they need to start doing more against this regime. Make them follow our Constitution. Stop the corruption. Stand up and do their jobs, and not be a puppet of Trump. Take our Country back so that we can start rebuilding it. Impeach Trump like they should have long ago, and impeach Vance if he doesn't do his job. In the private sector there would not be one person in this regime that wouldn't have been fired long ago.

Only part of his travel budget? How about withholding his entire paycheck, grounding him from all travel AND docking him a daily fee for holding evidence!
