Yes, Musk should stand trial for his clearly illegal actions. But unlike the orange madman, we believe in due process, not shipping people upon arrest to a foreign concentration camp.

I think he should be in jail awaiting his trial which could send him to prison. Can he just buy his way out?

Yes. We should only send them both to El Salvador >after< they're convicted. Oh, wait, the Orange Scourge has already been convicted, 34 times. We should just send him directly to CECOT. Then MuskRat, pending conviction.

Actually the republican/magat party has two objectives-keep power absolutely by any means necessary (lie, cheat, steal serves a purpose after all) and protect the interests of the criminal donor billionaire bros at all costs. They (republicans/magats) are not in office to govern and they can’t govern themselves let alone a nation. But the republican mission is clear-abandon any semblance of passing legislation to help Americans in reality, but in the guise of “fiscal cost cutting”, push the tax cuts for billionaires through and let the rest of us Americans dangle in the mire.

I keep thinking of a response to my never understanding how normal Americans can be so duped they vote for well known poor leaders: people don’t always vote for what is in their self interest. But now I say, why vote if it isn’t making your life better.

Always, always vote! If not your voice is not heard whether you like none of the candidates. Not voting could exclude you from voting in the next elections be it local, state, or federal.

It depends which Rs. There are several varieties, each with their own agenda:

1. The corporate fat cats, AKA "fiscal conservatives". They want the freedom to evade all taxes and plunder and pillage at will. These will not experience any negative impact.

2. The "social conservatives", mostly religious fanatics whose idea of religious freedom means you are free to live in accordance with their beliefs. The poor ones will realize soon enough how they're effected.

3. The White Supremacists/Christofascists/Klaners/Nazis who want to dominate the country, spread hate and "own the libs". This is the majority of MAGAnuts. As above, the ones who are poor will realize soon enough how they're affected.

There is of course some crossover between these types.

Hypothetical law? I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me there are numerous laws already in place that he has broken many times over. Charge him, try him, jail him. Same with tRump, after he's impeached, of course, unless the Supreme Court finally gets a gut full of his lawlessness and rescinds their decision on Presidential immunity (like that's going to happen anytime soon ... not). And the rest of his lawless cronies, i.e. Bondi, Noem, Rubio, Miller, Patel, Bissent, etc. deserve nothing less than the same. 🇺🇸 💙

The SCOTUS "gang of six" need to be impeached too. Presidential immunity? No way is that Constitutional.

Why does “hypothetical” matter? Just call it like it is, subversion. He wants to destroy the American way of life. His upbringing in So. Africa has influenced him to try to build some sort of empire. He most definitely needs to be jailed. The American people need to find a way back to believing that all men are created equal. We deserve to have Congress and the Supreme Court uphold their oath to keep us from terrorists both foreign and domestic. This is definitely domestic terrorism. It is literally setting a bomb off in our government and the services it provides.

Put him on trial to revoke his citizenship for treason and deport him to a prison in South Africa. Per Brave’s AI: “Treason is defined as waging a violent war against the United States in cooperation with a foreign country or an organized group, or helping such a country or organization abolish the U.S. Constitution. Such acts will not only lead to a revocation of citizenship but also result in jail time.”

When money or wealth overrides the rule of law or basically buys the rule of law the majority of Americans have to retain legal protection what we can afford if that's even possible. Even though Musk probably has an ocean of legal firms he seems to get a free pass jail because he believes he has purchased the government without actually knowing how the branches of government works and I'd be interested just how well he actually did on his citizenship exam.
