Maybe Elon and "big balls" should pay for their funerals and compensate families in the wake of this!

I really like this idea. After all, that 1% are the beneficiaries of the taxes in the Big Betrayal bill. Let that 1% shoulder the burden they’ve created.

No, honey, there’s no such thing as karma. Might as well believe in fairy dust. However, there is cause and effect, and consequences to actions that often present themselves in a way that we call it karma. Sometimes, dare I say, we gotta make ‘em pay!

My Opinion, it is not faulty weather service, it is faulty autocratic government and the dangers this is causing. I suspect I am not the only one who may share that opinion.

Vivi Survivor's avatar

Well, the weather service is faulty because of the faulty government. As you say, the faulty government has turned our services to be inadequate, all federal agencies have been cut, and they are unable to do their jobs well enough to take care of 300million of us. Taking care of that many people costs money, yet not one billionaire has said, I will take my tax cut and donate this to NWS, USAID (which helps our farmers big time), Dept of Education, or Medicare. Yet, they are so rich they don’t feel the tax cuts!

Why would anyone think that the billionaire's would give any of their money to a good cause. Did anyone hear them say I don't need any more money when the BBB was introduced, giving them more? I think I heard them say that they weren't getting enough. (Kidding on that one, but I bet it was going thru their minds even if they weren't saying it in public.)

If I were a billionaire suddenly, I most certainly would donate a great deal of that money, but I would also fix my step mom’s roof and pay off the mortgage, get my niece a good car, go visit my cousin who I haven’t seen in years, buy myself a cottage instead of live in this shit hole. I just don’t need that much money. Wouldn’t you share if you struck it rich? I sure as hell would! It’s just money…

Judy Cross's avatar

Yes, I would share money, it I struck it rich. I live humbly and don't need much. I would keep enough to keep myself going, some for emergencies and the rest would go to worthy causes. Money can't buy happiness, it can make your life easier, it won't buy your way past the pearly gates. I suspect that some of these people that won't do any good with their money are just like Trump. Just plain greedy, cowards, corrupt, and have no hearts or real feelings. Hatred isn't a feeling - it's a disease.

When I was gardening full-time for work, I had a lot of time to think about things. I imagined what would happen if every time someone turned 18, they received a million dollars from the government. I'm no economist or financial wizard, but to me, it sounded like a pretty good investment. Sure, people would blow it - you'll always have those folks. But imagine what it would be like to be able to afford college, or a car that would bring you to work, or oh, I don't know - FOOD. Invest in the future or not. Donate some to charities, or not. It's up to the recipient. I don't see a downside to this. Let's try trickling UP for a change.

...and Trump issues a false apology, undoubtedly reveling in seeing results of his power. Or is he that deranged that he doesn't completely understand what he's done and is doing?

He doesn’t GAF. He mumbled an apology because the flooding is in Texas. Had it affected California, he would gloat.

NWS and NOAA couldn’t help and now FEMA is not coming. Let’s see how Abbott handles this. It didn’t take long for the people to starting suffering losses due to MAGA policies. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones, even if they voted for the 🍊 🤡. Sad thing is that they will blame it on someone/something else.

If is extremely sad! I am hoping for the girls they can’t find. It’s practically unbearable thinking the opposite, that these girls were washed away bc Elon “doged” the NWS.

Any cuts by Trump resulting in someone's death should come with a charge of murder. Maybe that will make him THINK next time!

@Gigi K Donald Trump likes to talk about American made too. Yet either those companies have to move overseas because of those policies or he keeps directing his interests outside of this country as President of the United States.

Trump fails to understand while that doesn't matter too much to anyone but him, America was never the #1 country in the world. He has the historic yet continuously deranged mindset shared by those who still support him to this very day that other countries depend and rely on America to help with things they can't do themselves. But the truth is anything this wannabe dictator touches at the very least will NEVER make America great again.

There are no actions without a consequence. This is a consequence of total disregard for any kind of forward thinking or preparation. The fire season is upon us and many will die due to cuts and ignorance. Look at the cuts in every area of the things that keep people safe. Planes, ships, fires, floods...........and probably no FEMA help either. I am sickened by the callous disregard for those who work to keep this country running.

Thanks Adam for the truthful account in TX and other regions affected by flooding! Prayers to those families that have lost loved ones and those who are still praying that theirs will be located safe.

The blame is on this administration and its reckless cuts by DOGE, each and every person in this administration and those republicans that never stood up to this dictator and his minions should be impeached and jailed-my preference the “Alligator Alcatraz” for life! Definitely would build a 16 ft wall around them to keep them in.

This is all the more reason that We The People need to stand together and call for change!!

One Voice to oust this despicable regime out of OUR COUNTRY! We need to be cohesive in our actions, continually peacefully protest at Congress door and the Supreme Court because 6 of the 9 are also complicit in this regime’s policies and actions!

Be Safe, Be Peaceful, Let Our Voice Be Heard! 🇺🇸
