I would like to hear folks call a spade a spade. This is racism. Over the past four months, there have been huge, huge protests with little to no conflicts. There has even been neighborhoods who have stood up to ICE in their community and prevented neighbors from being arrested. There were no tear gas; no fights. I even saw a video taken by a community member at one incident where some number of individuals were walking towards the ICE agents in the street of their neighborhood. The video showed ICE agents walking backwards away from the oncoming citizens and keeping about 10 to 15 feet distance between them. ICE eventually retreated. No conflicts, no scuffles. What was the difference? Those citizens in LA were predominantly black and brown and ICE’s treatment of them was completely different. They escalated the situation. The reason for that is that the individuals in LA are seen as less than human and aren’t warranted the same respect and treatment as those who are white. Trump wanted to be able to call martial law, so he has DHS and Hegseth escalating the situation even further to be able to do so.
He's trying to show his power before his birthday. This will control the masses and stop them from protesting at his stupid parade.

He’s seen the major protests going on daily in every State. He’s trying to make sure that people get too scared to show up.
